Our Screening Process

Annie’s Nannies prides itself on its successful matching of  families and caregivers. We understand the balancing act and stresses built into the roles of family life. Why add to it when having to look for child care? The Families we work with experience extensive knowledge, outstanding service and constant support. The process from meticulous screening to personal matching is what we do, and it is all maintained by our seamless coaching. Each  relationship we’ve built with caregivers and families remains a top priority after placement. Our mission, and single most important concern, is that children, and people in need of some extra assistance be provided the attentive, nurturing, safe, and responsible in-home care that they deserve. Before a certifying a caregiver as part of the Annie’s Nannies Crew, the prospective applicant undergoes extensive screening; which includes:

  • Reference Checks (from 3+ childcare related employers, and from 2+ non-child care work experiences) this helps Annie’s Nannies evaluate work ethic, overall character, and integrity.
  • Driver’s License Validation (including a check for license points)
  • Automobile Insurance Verification
  • 50-state wide Sex Offender  Screening
  • Social Security Number Verification
  • Criminal Background Check
  • Annie’s Nannies Personal Interview Process
  • CPR and First Aid training
  • Orientation- Are they a good fit with our Network of Helping Hands?

Further screening is available for an additional fee of $30, this includes: A full driving record check and a SC SLED Catch Criminal Records Check (via fingerprint or name-based).
